Farm
Welcome to our farm in Chikowa Youth Development Centre, where we are committed to supporting our local community and providing high-quality agricultural products. Our 15-hectare garden/farm serves the dual purpose of generating financial and material support for the school while creating job opportunities in the community.
Our farm employs 20 permanent workers and produces an impressive 75 tons of maize each year. In addition, we have around 300 herd animals, including pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, rabbits, and cows, as well as 400 chickens (broiler + layers) on site. We also have five large greenhouses where we grow a variety of vegetables, including maize and rice.
Our farm is equipped with modern machinery such as a chigayo (maize grinder) and an oil press for sunflower and groundnuts. We grind our maize to produce high-quality maize meal, which is a staple food in many African households.
We make regular deliveries of our farm products to various locations including Mfuwe on Thursday (and sometimes on Monday), Chipata on Wednesday, and Lusaka on Saturday. We supply our products to lodges, markets, and other customers in the region. Our list of vegetables, meat, and other products is updated weekly, and we encourage you to get in touch with us by phone or email to place your order.
By supporting our farm, you are not only getting high-quality, locally-sourced products, but you are also contributing to the sustainable development of our community. Thank you for considering our farm, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
Please contact us by our delivery email or phone number.
