The Chikowa Youth Development Centre is proud to celebrate the graduation of 48 young people from our 2024 training cohort. These graduates represent months of dedication, skill-building, and personal growth across our TEVETA-approved vocational programs in carpentry, agriculture, tailoring, metalwork, ICT, and life skills. Each graduate carries with them not just technical knowledge, but the confidence and character formation that defines our mission—the belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to build a dignified, sustainable future.
Our students arrived from across Mambwe District and beyond, many facing limited access to quality education and employment pathways. Through affordable, hands-on training and supportive mentorship, they have transformed their capabilities and their vision for what is possible. Whether mastering the precision of our European carpentry machinery, learning climate-smart farming techniques in our greenhouse, or developing digital literacy in our ICT labs, our graduates are now equipped to serve their families, strengthen their communities, and contribute meaningfully to Zambia's economic growth.
This milestone reflects the values that guide us: partnership, respect, and belief in the potential of Zambian youth. Our 2024 graduates join a growing network of young craftspeople, farmers, and skilled workers who are already making a difference in the Chikowa community and beyond. We celebrate their achievements with gratitude to our Fidesco volunteers, Comboni Missionaries, staff, and partners whose commitment makes this transformation possible. To our graduates: your journey has just begun. We remain with you as you step forward into employment, entrepreneurship, and leadership.
We invite supporters, employers, and partners to help us sustain this work and welcome the next cohort of young people ready to learn, grow, and lead.
